Drums have been around for quite a while. Since 1996, in fact.
This is our story.
Launched in 1996 as a single establishment in the Queen Victoria Market in the heart of Melbourne, the Drums Cafe specializes in Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. Our aim is to expose these brilliant cuisines to native Australians as well as tourists all around the world visiting Melbourne. We have been doing exactly this for over 2 decades and have managed to grow significantly with expanding operations.
Come on over and try out our uber-popular Kotthu Roti and the delightful Lamprais
We have always had an affinity for Asian cuisine. The exotic tastes of spices and breathtaking aromas make the food unique and appealing. If you’re looking to experience this genuine asian cuisine, Drums is here to serve you. From Lamprais, to Naan, Kotthu, Paratha, and a whole host of other dishes, Drums is the best place for Asian food in Melbourne.
Over the years, we have also been involved in a multitude of food markets and festivals. We have attended the International Street Food Festival at the Melbourne Showgrounds as well as the Summer and Winter Wednesday Night Markets at the Queen Victoria Market. Our unique concept of serving Sri Lankan style street food is always a big hit among the crowds.
